DOCTOR WHO 2012 Christmas Special gets it’s villain in Richard E. Grant
Well, even though season 7 hasn’t started yet, filming has begun on this years Christmas special, which will be the episode that we’re introduced to Jenna-Louise Coleman’s character as the Doctor’s new companion.To just get ahead of news, rumors, and other things coming from people snooping around the set while filming is going on, the special’s villain has been revealed as Richard E. Grant, by the show’s producers. They also have released news that Tom Ward will also be in the special.
This is not the first Whovian experience for Grant as he voiced the Time Lord himself in an animated webcast of the show back in 2003, titled Scream of the Skalka, along with playing a new iteration of the Doctor in the comedy sketch Doctor Who and the Curse of the Fatal Death back in 1999. (Also of note, that is the first Who script written by Steven Moffat. A name you may or may not be familiar with)
The currently untitled special is directed by Saul Metzstein.
