I originally came across Zoo Train in January of this year, and it has proven to still be a hit, on my iPhone and iPad throughout the year.  Just the name itself, “Zoo Train” tells you it’s going to be a hit with your kids. What child doesn’t like animals and/or trains?  And, the art work, which is bright, sharp and colorful, is definitely an attention grabber.  It’s easily one of the more attractive apps I’ve seen in a long while.

“Zoo Train” has five, yes FIVE games that range in difficulty, making it perfect with toddlers and preschoolers.  It took very little to time to show Bug, my youngest, how to build her own train before she took over and sat by herself for the next 10 minutes just building it over and over!

With “Zoo Train”  kids solve picture puzzles, play music and songs, identify letters and spell words, build train tracks, and create your own zoo train! One more unique thing about “Zoo Train” is that your child gets a reward sticker for a job well done, and really, what kid doesn’t love stickers?  

If you search the AppStore now, you’ll see plenty of apps to copy some aspects of Zoo Train, weather it be combining animals and trains, giving reward stickers.  Don’t be mistaken, Zoo Train was the first to get it right.
